About Us

Louisiana Initiative for Nonprofit & Community Collaboration (LINCC) is a web-based community platform that brings community resources together through one portal, providing data, knowledge and interactive tools for effective collaboration between nonprofits, government, funders, and other stakeholders about a wide range of issues which impact the quality of life of Northwest Louisiana, such as homelessness, health, education, and workforce development. LINCC provides information on all exempt organizations to assist grant makers, service providers, and those wishing to volunteer, contribute, and collaborate with organizations and others dedicated to improving the quality of life in Bossier Parish, Caddo Parish, DeSoto Parish, Natchitoches Parish, and Webster Parish.LINCC enhances a nationwide database of the nonprofit sector created by the Washington, D.C.-based National Center for Charitable Statistics (NCCS).

MISSION Statement: LINCC is an online community resource directory that links information, inspires people, and engages our community for a better Northwest Louisiana.

History of LINCC

LINCC was created in 2011 through a partnership of The Community Foundation of North Louisiana and the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations (LANO). The Community Foundation of North Louisiana and the United Way of Northwest Louisiana  joined together in 2014 to bring better philanthropic services to the citizens of North Louisiana with the formation of Community Resource Management, LLC (CRM). CRM maintained LINCC, an accurate, searchable database of all nonprofit organizations, programs, and volunteer opportunities in Northwest Louisiana on the LINCC platform.  CRM partnership dissolved in 2016, and LINCC continues as a program of the Community Foundation of North Louisiana.

Why is LINCC Needed?

With growing social needs and reduced funding, Northwest Louisiana nonprofit and governmental organizations are asked to do more with less. Organizations need to collaborate, to develop evidence-based programs, and to be more accountable. Policy makers, funders, and service providers do not have the time to find, manage and evaluate the information available in thousands of valuable websites and databases. The LINCC platform allows us to work smarter by making better use of information.
